We are highly privileged and glad to inform that Opportunity School has received the STATE AWARD FOR BEST INSTITUTION. It is definitely by the Grace of God we have come thus far successfully. Receiving this award from our State Government during our 50th year( Golden Jubilee Celebration) is a real pleasure and a blessing from above. We are overjoyed by receiving this award from Honourable Chief Minister Dr.Edapadi K.Palanisamy. In this blissful occasion we would like to thank and share our joy with you as Opportunity School has come this far only with your constant support and concern.
An Overview:
With a rich legacy that began in 1969, Opportunity School has been serving children with special needs for over five decades. As a non-profit educational institution rooted in the community, the school is dedicated to supporting needy children with intellectual and developmental disabilities through quality education, therapeutic interventions, life-skills training, and vocational development. Through individualized care and holistic programs, Opportunity School empowers every child to realize their potential and lead a life of dignity, independence, and purpose.
Main Purpose:
To serve Mild, Moderate and Severely challenged children with special needs such as Down syndrome, Micro Cephalus, Cerebral Palsy, Autism and ADHD.
Our Programs:
Our programs are early intervention, Physio/occupational therapy, play therapy, Special Education (Pre-primary, Primary, Elementary, Secondary, Pre vocational) and Vocational training for both girls and boys.

To train the exceptional children towards acquiring necessary skills for their self-help, independent living and leading future life as a less dependent member of the society.
To develop necessary social and emotional literacy to live and participate in the community as much as possible.
To provide Individualised learning experiences in tune with their learning abilities and to their individualities in order to attain maximum potential.
