Subesh Thilak
This student joined our special school in 2001. He was retrograded in education and daily activities up to 10 years of age. He was trained in special education and vocational activities.
Now he reads and understands Tamil and English newspapers and learns about current international news. He was employed through our School. Currently, he is working as an assistant in a cloth shop. Every day he goes to work from his home (Kilpauk) to his work place (Nungambakkam) alone in the government bus.
Ravindran
came to our school at the age of 8, from a village called Nappalayam as he could not continue his education in a municipal school. Through continuous coaching and training from the school, he passed 8th std. He was also given vocational training at our school. Through our school he was hired as a cleaner at airport as contract staff and worked well. He also worked as a gardener in a Church. At present he is working as a gardener in our school he independently rides bicycle to market and buys things needed for school cooking. He is married and lives with his family.
Ismail
was admitted to our school in 2006 at the age of eight with Autism. He lacked social skills completely (No Social Interaction) Can’t read nor write. At government school he was Unable to follow the curriculum, so he was sent to our special school. He studied at our boarding school, and as a result of the training given at the school and hostel, he began to interact with others. He has also won many medals in sports. He also passed 10th standard public examination with good marks under the Tamil Nadu government curriculum. Then trained in welding section of Govt-run Guindy training Institute. He is currently employed and is getting paid up to Rs.8,000/- per month.
